Cornell Marketplace

Built by three Cornell alumni, the Cornell Marketplace exists to incubate alumni, students and companies -- student-run or alumni-led -- with real buyers from the Cornell network and the open market.

Our Mission

It begins inside a trusted community built for action, not simulation. Companies don't pitch.
They sell. They learn. They iterate.
Real customers. Real business. Real feedback.
We are actively looking for companies and startups.

How it Works

  • No subscriptions. Per-transaction fees only.
  • Cornell, Faculty and Staff carry no operational burden and no institutional liability.
  • For alumni -- a direct line to the next generation of Cornell founders. Not just to mentor, but by buying and giving real feedback.
  • Every transaction directly funds Cornell programs -- including Cornell Food Institute, Entrepreneurship at Cornell, Smith Family Institute, and Alumni Affairs.
  • SupplyBistro is launching an open data program named after Nagesh Gavirneni, MBA Operations Faculty — giving Cornell faculty and students access to sanitized, repeatable supply chain data for research and learning.
The Marketplace is designed to work alongside Cornell's existing programs, not replace them. It's the next natural step.

When startups outgrow Cornell, nothing changes. The Marketplace is powered by SupplyBistro — the same platform, the same system. They just keep selling — into distributors, retailers, and open markets.
